Rural LUV (Light Utility Vehicle) Driving Skills

Taratahi's, Rural LUV Driving Skills one-day workshop is ideal for those who wish to refine or refresh their LUV handling skills

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • A quick refresh of a pre-start T-CLOC-C checks
  • How driving with equipment and trailers can alter handling and stability
  • How slope can alter handling and stability, including the importance of route selection
  • Loading and securing different loads to minimise their impact on handling
  • Reversing a trailer in a straight line and around corners
  • Driving with static and fluid loads on the LUV and on a trailer
  • Driving when on different ground conditions and on hills
  • Practice driving with different load types, towing trailers and over a variety of ground conditions.

PPE gear, LUVs and trailers will be provided.  Please ensure that you wear good sturdy footwear.

Entry criteria for the workshop : You must be 16 years of age or older, must be physically capable of handling an adult-sized quad and have completed Taratahi's Introduction to LUVs workshop.

Teas and coffees provided, please bring your own lunch.
