Free Training for Employees While They Work

Taratahi has created a short programme for employees in the wine and fruit growing industries, which will ensure that they’re up to speed with best practice health and safety procedures, before the Health and Safety Reform Bill come into force mid-2015.

The programme is made up of eight days of theory to cover all health and safety requirements for each component of the programme.  Class times are flexible and can be worked in around individual business needs.

The rest of the programme is practical and most of the practical components can be done by employees during their work week.  This means that businesses don’t have to give employees time off to complete the programme because they can do it at work, with Taratahi tutors, over a 12 week period.

A standard programme would cover; Health and Safety (compulsory), Quad Bikes (elective), Motorcycles (elective), Tractors (elective), and Chainsaws (elective).

Taratahi Tutor, David Price says that the flexibility of this programme is a win-win situation for everyone involved.  “If a business wanted to change electives to suit individual needs like upskilling your employees in fencing and agrichemicals instead of chainsaws and motorcycles then that’s all do-able, we can make it happen for you.”

“This really is a case of why wouldn’t you make the most of this opportunity, it’s free, we’ll run the programme at your place and on days and times that suit your work schedule and we’ll tailor it to suit you,” says David.
