Taratahi's Stratford campus was established in 2004 to enable students to remain in Taranaki while studying agriculture. Dedicated classrooms are now set up at the Stratford Demonstration Farm, Motonui School and Waimate West Demonstration Farm in Manaia.  Training takes place both in the classroom and on Taratahi training farms or other commercial farming operations around the District.

Students work with qualified and experienced tutors who will teach them theory and practical knowledge in a number of areas, including animal husbandry, soil and crop management, fencing, vehicles and machinery, chainsaws and land management.

Full-time and part-time programmes Available in Taranaki

• New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) – Full Time – 12 weeks (4 days a week)
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture, Vehicles, Machinery and Infrastructure (Level 3) - Full Time - 15 weeks 
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Farming Systems) (Level 3) - Full Time – 26 weeks
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Pastoral Livestock Production) (Level 3)
• New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3)
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Level 4) (Dairy Farming or Breeding Livestock Farming) - Full Time - one year
