Programmes Delivered:

Taratahi offers qualifications that are highly practical and teach relevant skills to suit a wide range of agricultural needs.  The programmes vary in length and provide a mix of both practical and theoretical teaching, ensuring students have a sound understanding of the agricultural industry.  

Practical learning takes place on the Southland Demonstration Farm.  In addition, students visit other commercial farms in the Southland region.

Currently, we offer:

New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) 

New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Vehicles, Machinery and Infrastructure) (Level 3)

New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Farming Systems) (Level 3)

New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Pastoral Livestock Production) (Level 3)

New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Breeding Livestock Farming) or (Dairy Farming)
