Northland Campus:

Taratahi offers a number of agricultural programmes on a range of farms and venues throughout Northland. Programmes are practical and relevant and will teach real life-skills while completing NZQA qualifications.

Students work with qualified and experienced tutors who will teach them theory and practical knowledge in a number of areas, including animal husbandry, soil and crop management, fencing, ATVs, chainsaws and land management.

The main campus is at Whangarei, and a secondary campus planned for Kaitaia.There are learning options on commercial farms throughout Northland.

Full and Part-time programmes delivered:

• Introduction to Farming (Level 2) - Youth Guarantee - Waikohatu Station (Taupo Bay - Far North) – 24 weeks (9 days per fortnight).  FEES FREE.
• New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2)​. FEES FREE.
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Vehicles, Machinery and Infrastructure) (Level 3)​
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Farming Systems) (Level 3)​
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Pastoral Livestock Production) (Level 3)
• New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3)
• New Zealand Certificate in Equine Skills (Level 3) (Sporthorse Stable Assistant) 
• New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Level 4) (Dairy Farming or Breeding Livestock Farming)
