Events Calendar

We organise lots of events, competitions and activities throughout the year for our students. We update our calendar every week with even more events the students can become involved with. Check out just a taste of whats been on offer so far this year.

 

    January 2010

  • 13th - Second year students start back
  • 21st - EIT information day (Taradale)
  • 23rd - Wairarapa Young Farmer District Finals
  • 24th/25th - First year students arriving at Masterton
  • 25th - Wellington Anniversary Day
  • 25th - Stratford campus students start
  • 26th - First year students start their course at Masterton
  • 28th - High Tea in dining room.  Guest Speaker - Garry McPhee - Carterton Mayor
  • 29th - Stratford campus Graduation 
  • 31st - Taratahi cricket versus Old boys.  12.30pm Chanel College

    February

  • Every Monday throughout year - 6 - 8pm Night catch up classes
  • 1st - Taradale campus students start
  • 5th - Multi sports in the gym
  • 5th - Stratford campus Teambuilding day
  • 6th - Waitangi Day
  • 6th - Martinborough Fair
  • 9th - Summer Hummer, Masterton Sports Bowl - Midnight Youth!!
  • 11th - Taradale campus Teambuilding day
  • 10th and 17th - Donnelley's flat walk and BBQ
  • Small bore rifle shooting (every Tuesday)
  • 12th - Masterton A & P show
  • 14th - 8am-5pm tramp to Atiwhakatau Hut (10 students)
  • 16th - 'Chick Flick' in town (The Time Traveler's Wife)
  • 18th - Photography club meeting
  • 20th - Rugby 7's competition in town
  • 21st - 8am - 5pm tramp to Jumbo Hut (10 students)
  • 22nd - Scholarship interview techniques workshop - 5.45pm
  • 22nd - Shearing courses kick off/Golden Shears Practise
  • 23rd - Lincoln Diploma students start 
  • 24th - Rugby practise for 15's
  • 28th - 8am -5pm tramp to Powell Hut (10 students)

  • 4th - 6th - Golden Shears (Masterton)

  • 11th - Movies - To Paris with love
  • 12th - Indoor hockey at Taratahi gym
  • 13th - Young Farmers Club - Daytona Go-Karting, Palmerston North
  • 15th - Stratford students doing shearing and/or artificial insemination courses
  • 17th - Rugby practise (every Wednesday)
  • 17th - 2nd High Tea of the year. Guest Speaker - Koro Mullins
  • 18th - 20th - Central Districts Field Days (Feilding).  
  • 19th - Students heading to Field Days
  • 20th - Balloons over Wairarapa
  • 21st - Beach day to Riversdale

  • 28th - Federated Farmers Farm Day (Taratahi)
  • 30th - Stratford campus Field trip

  • 12th - UK students arrive from Walford, Shropshire
  • 19th - Students Term 2 starts
  • 19th - Hokianga Coast Road Show
  • 21st - Student Council meeting
  • 22nd - Hoof and Hook
  • 22nd - Federated Farmers Practical Effluent Field Day
  • 24th - ANZAC Day Air show, Hood Aerodrome
  • 26th - Night class with Chrissy
  • 26th - Young Farmers meeting
  • 27th - High Tea with Guest Speaker, Vic Tamati (6pm)
  • 29th - Meat & Wool NZ 2nd year scholarship interviews
  • 29th - Small bore rifle shooting
  • 29th - Hangi with all students plus UK exchange students
  • 30th - UK students leave
  • 30th - Second year Sheep & Beef students on day trip to Wairere Romney sheep stud.

    May

  • 4th - Wairarapa Careers Expo
  • 9th - 11th - Coke Christchurch Careers Expo
  • 10th - Stratford students at Wairarapa campus for the week
  • 12th - Chick flick in town
  • 13th - staff versus students indoor soccer (students won 2 -1)
  • 10th - 13th - East Coast Road Show, Gisborne
  • 12th - 13th - Hawke's Bay Careers Expo
  • 15th - Rugby - Martinborough versus Marist (at Martinborough)
  • 15th - 16th - Hoof & Hook competition, Feilding
  • 17th - Gisborne Careers Expo
  • 17th - Staff versus students indoor hockey (staff won - woo hoo!)
  • 21st - Wanganui Careers Expo
  • 21st - 22nd - Rotorua Careers Expo
  • 24th - Staff versus students basketball (staff won - woo hoo!)
  • 26th - Rugby training
  • 27th - Small bore rifle shooting
  • 29th - Rugby - Martinborough versus East Coast (Whareama - 1pm)

    June

  • Every Monday - indoor netball league
  • Every Tuesday - Kickboxing.  Catch up classes
  • Every Wednesday - Futsal league.  Learner licence study class
  • Every Thursday - Smallbore rifle shooting. Kickboxing
  • 4th - Second year students head to England
  • 7th - Queens Birthday Weekend
  • 13th,14th - Waikato Careers Expo
  • 16th - 19th - National Field Days, Mystery Creek, Hamilton
  • 23rd - Baker & Associates Winter Seminar
  • 24th - July 2009 students farewell dinner
  • 25th - Term 2 finishes at Masterton
