Taratahi has one residential campus, all of our other regional campuses are non-residential.

Wairarapa:

  • In the  Wairarapa our more mature students, or students who do not want to live on campus, have other options available.
  • Masterton, a short 10 minute drive from our residential campus, has a number of rental accommodation properties available.
  • Students who chose to live off campus need to build in travel time to campus each morning - especially our dairy students who have very early starts!
  • Masterton is our only residential campus, all of our regions are non-residential.

In this section you will find information for students living on the Masterton, Wairarapa campus.

Living on campus allows you to be fully immersed in the lifestyle that comes with the agricultural industry.  Our supportive staff encourages constant learning and take pride in developing good work ethic with you.

Some advantages of living on campus include:

  • You won’t have to factor in travel time to and from campus (better time management).
  • You’ll be with other students who are on a similar career pathway which will give you contacts for the future as well as the opportunity to develop strong friendships.
  • Fun activities and events are organised for you.
  • First year students enjoy three hearty meals a day in our dining room.
  • We create a family environment for you.
  • We have a full time Campus Manager as well as staff who live on campus 24-7 who provide support, advice and structure for you. More
