TATC - Further Tertiary Studies

Further Tertiary Studies

Most of our students who study at our Masterton campus choose to do the Taratahi Certificate in Agriculture (Dairy or Sheep) Level 3. Throughout their 40 week course they will be deciding on their future.

Many will have jobs organised after their course has finished but most students will come back and do the National Certificate in Agriculture Level 4. This is offered as a full time or extra mural option.  Subject to certain conditions, second year students can take part in a unique overseas exchange with Walford & North Shropshire College in the United Kingdom.  This three week exchange offers opportunities to experience different farming practices and techniques as well as enjoying what international travel has to offer.  Taratahi meets some of the costs towards this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Taratahi also offers the Lincoln University Diploma Level 5.  This is offered as a part time option in Wairarapa and Taranaki so you can continue working full time while also studying with Lincoln .

Building on a Solid Base

Some of our graduates will go on to further tertiary study through AgricultureITO or at Massey or Lincoln Universities. They study a range of options from Vet Science, Agri-Business or Agri-Science. Click here to see what some of our graduates are doing now.
