
The Taratahi Certificate in Agriculture is a 40-week programme offered at our Wairarapa campus
providing
students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in either dairy or
sheep and beef farming.
This course contains a mixture of technical, theory, and farm work. Students gain a wide range of experience in preparation for the workplace.
The main entry requirement is a passion for a successful career in agriculture. Students must be at least 16 years of age. A restricted drivers licence is preferred.

The Taratahi Certificate in Agriculture course starts in January to graduate in December, or in July to graduate the following June.
