General Farm Skills - Northland

Do you work on the land, have a lifestyle block and want to learn new skills or perhaps get a qualification?

From January 2012 we will offer weekday or weekend training in a range of general farm skills. Graduate with your Certificate in General Farm Skills!

Choose four electives from the following four options:

Fencing	Conventional fencing
ATV Safety	Cultivation
Motorbike Safety	Pasture management
Chainsaw safety	Soils & Fertilisers
Agrichemicals	Calf Rearing
Tree felling	Relief Milking
Tractor safety	Animal Handling
Feed budgeting	Animal health and welfare
Health and Safety	Introduction to sheep shearing
4WD Driver Safety	Stock Horse
Health & Safety Plans	Horse Care
Heavy Traffic	Horticulture Electives
Agriculture Electives

All students are required to complete a compulsory Health and Safety course.
